"The Universe Within," is a captivating mixed-media art exhibition at The Copeland Gallery in Peckham. The exhibition is free to attend and will be open from Thursday, September 19th, to Sunday, September 22nd, 11 am—6 pm. Featuring 27 contemporary artists from various cultures, this showcase delves into their exploration of play, fragility, spirituality, identity, trauma, recycling, and rebirth.
Drawing from their unique perspectives, the artists have delved deep to ponder the meaning and mysteries of life and the cosmos.
They convey their insights using materials from everyday contemporary life to the original and unusual, making their work visually stunning and thought-provoking. They invite the viewer to engage in a deep intellectual journey.
Inspired by Edvard Munch's words, "From my rotting body, flowers shall grow, and I am in them, and that is eternity," this exhibition offers a deep exploration of memory, metamorphosis, healing, nature, and the cosmos. It provides a compelling reflection on the experience of being alive today.
